Have you ever wanted to express your appreciation to our men and women of the U.S. Armed Services to just say “Thanks” for serving our country? Now you can – just by posting them right here on the FOSE Insights Blog!
Through our partnership with Operation Gratitude, we’re collecting your messages of gratitude for our troops, which will be included with care packages sent to individual Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines deployed in harm’s way. To participate and express your gratitude, simply post your message in the comments below. Your messages will be included with care packages put together and shipped by the good people at Operation Gratitude, all wrapped with good wishes of love and support!
Operation Gratitude seeks to put a smile on a service member’s face & express our nation’s appreciation by sending care packages and letters personally addressed to U.S. Military deployed in harm’s way, their children left behind and Wounded Warriors recovering in transition units. Dear Brave American hero,
I wanted you to know I think of you everyday. You are in my heart, thoughts and prayers daily.
Every time I see and American flag, I think of you and comrades. And each time I experience that warm feeling of pride inside. You are all the pride of this country. You’re a role model to all ages. Your courage to make my life safer makes me strive to be a better person. Words cannot express my gratitude for your dedicated service and selfless commitment. It takes a person of strength and integrity to be able to do what you do. Thank you for each day I wake.
Serving in the military is not ‘just whatever.’ It’s not just ‘doing another job.’ You sacrifice your life, time with loved ones, time doing anything else everyday for strangers’ lives, for this country, for our freedom. This is a noble, selfless deed. I hold you in high regard. But some of you don’t acknowledge the depth of your impact. Do you?
What a blessing it would be if we could open & shut our ears as easily as we open and shut our eyes. You could drown out your reality, your environment and imagine being with loved ones at home… Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions. Long range goals (return home) keep you from being distressed of your current situation. If you’re going through hell, keep going. To accomplish things we must not only act, but also dream (reunite with loved ones); not only plan but also believe. Believe your imagination and dreams.
You are the reason our national anthem rings true: “…the land of the free and the home of the brave.” Thank you for carrying America on your shoulders. You make this ‘the land of the free’ BECAUSE of the BRAVE – you.
I try my hardest to avoid taking my freedom and your sacrifice for granted. I think of you almost all day, everyday, for you are all my own in my mind and heart. I feel as your loved ones feel.
You all deserve more respect, honor & support from America.

Thank you for serving our country. Your service is much appreciated. I never really understood the sacrifices that you all have made in order for me to be able to do the things that I do, such as college. I’m a senior at UCI. GO ANTEATERS! Having an older brother as a veteran infantry marine and a boyfriend who’s a marine definitely changed my perspective of military personnel. You never eff with infantry…EVER (so my brother tells me). He also said that being an infantry marine is a way of life, not a job. I’ll agree because I don’t want to be on his bad side! Anyway, I am deeply appreciative for everything you have done for our country. Both of my parents immigrated to the United States from China chasing the American dream and it is all thanks to you that that dream is still possible for all of us. A million thank yous would not suffice. You are truly appreciated. Come home safely with your heads held high and your hearts made of gold.
Just a thank you for all you are doing to keep us safe here at home!!! Continuing prayers are being said for each one of you…
I can’t even begin to understand the courage you all show. Thank you for being true American heroes, and for fighting for our freedom.
